But that’s exactly what happened. Face-to-face with dark forces, spellbinding magic, and mystical worlds where nothing is what it seems, Kelsey risks everything to piece together an ancient prophecy that could break the curse forever.

My Review:

This book was awesome. At first I was iffy about reading it. But after I finished it, it became on of my favorite books as well as the other books in the series.

I love the romance between Ren and Kelsey. Their love is an all passionate, all consuming love which is great to read about. Their fights and arguments are entertaining as well.

Later on in the book, we meet Ren's brother Kishan and I could already tell he was "trouble". From the first moment he kisses Kelsey's hand, you can see the love triangle coming.

I enjoyed reading about the Hindu religion and the goddess Durga. I also liked how Kelsey and Ren went on the quest to free him and Kishan from their curse. It was exciting to see what happened and all the magical beings they met on their journey. I also liked the fact that they had a journey instead of being boring like some books where the characters just talk about their feelings and nothing really happens.

I like the character of Kelsey because she makes stupid decisions like all humans would. At times I would be cursing at her in my head and telling her to shut up and get a grip already. To me that made her character more believable and real.

While I understand that the author made it ending the way it was so that it can segue into the next book, I was still pissed at Kelsey's stupid choice.
